Lovely....a bunch of pasty-white, fat, middle-aged prog fans watching a bunch of pasty-white, fat, middle-aged (plus) prog musicians turn lobster-red under the Caribbean sun!!

Latest news is that Glass Hammer joined the cruise....!

I wish they would all just have a massive touring show, like Dream Theater did with Zappa Plays Zappa, Big Elf, and Scale the Summit!

I would so be there...accept for the fact that it happens to fall smack dab into the week of the year where I am working 90-100 hours.  Hmmm...don't think that the boss will mind too much....not.

LOL and I was looking for tickets... Wonder how much it's going to be...

Like going to 8 concerts and A CRUISE. That'll be spendy.

I've seen jam bands do this kind of thing, usually goes well.  Hard to imagine prog in that situation, but I'm sure it'll be fun.  Kinda hard not to have fun on a cruise.

Well, Yes has had a lot of practice, playing gigs at casinos!  LOL

Poor Jon Davison is going to get a hell of a workout, between duties for Yes and singing the new Glass Hammer "Perilous" material!

Now, Tangerine Dream....THAT would be worth hearing on a cruise boat!  Unfortunately, I don't pursue the recreational bad habits of my youth.....

This is really tempting.....trying to talk my significant other into it.  She has been wanting to go on a cruise with me Smile

Well, I took the plunge and got my reservation for this last night.  When I first saw this I was not convinced it was even real.  But it seems to be!  One set of rooms is already sold out.

What put me "over the edge" was streaming http://ultimateclassicrock.com/steve-hackett-genesis-revisited-ii-album-premiere/" rel="nofollow - Hackett's Genesis Revisited II .  And while I wouldn't count any of the bands among my top favorites, they all are worthy.  Plus...it's a cruise.  Which I have never done before, and it just seemed silly to not take this 2-in-1 opportunity.

Now to prepare, however, it seems I have a lot of albums to buy!  Smile  Hadn't really considered buying Fly From Here, but I think I must.

Anyone else in for it?

Can anybody really afford to take this "Cruise to the Edge"? If I'm reading it correctly it's ten grand plus for two people. It's a great concept but will the prices kill it before it ever happens?
