More than 15 years-old superhero movies. I didn't include big names such as the Superman, Batman, Robocop movies on purpose. Let's just stay with the "underdogs" (although this term isn't fair to same of the names included either). Which one's your favorite?. Choose one from the list or mention another if it isn't there.

I'll go with Darkman. Sam Raimi rules.

Swamp Thing and Ninja Turtles - classics. I used to watch Ninja Turtles all time when I was younger, both the anime series and movies. Hilarious fun. LOL

I enjoyed the Rocketeer. I watched Barbarella thinking it would be campy fun, but it is actually so bad as to be unwatchable.

I accidentally voted for Rocketeers instead of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!! That movie was a classic Smile

I wouldn't really consider Super Mario Bros. as a superhero, but I don't think anybody's gonna vote for that anyways Tongue

I was eleven when Friends came out.  A step-cousin of mine had a Friends poster in her bedroom.  I said, "Hey, it's Courtney Cox!" to which she replied, sultrily, "Ooh, you like Monica!"

I was like "Wtf, no, that's the chick from the He-Man movie.  Now leave me alone so I can destroy Grayskull.  Thank you."

Dolph's `Punisher' all the way! I'm a lifelong collector of the Punisher comic books, and it's one of my favourite 80's action flicks, in many ways still the best Punisher flick of the three! Lundgren nails the role in some scenes, and the fights have a rough and nasty knock-down slugfest tone to them!

I have a lot of love for Billy Zane's campy Phantom movie - after all, Australia has kind of adopted the Phantom as one of our own!

But.....I have TOO much love for Van Damme's craptacular technicolour `Streetfighter'! Hollywood excess at it's worst, but so charming and full of endless quotable lines:

"Now who wants to go home, and who wants to go with ME!"

I was going to include Mighty Morphin Power Rangers instead of Steel, but I just couldn't leave out Shaq's masterpiece LOL

Ah, but the late Raul Julia:

"But for me, it was Tuesday."

HA! Hell yes! Julia just gets endless killer/clunker lines! There's some suprisingly clever stuff mixed in there too, like the whole bit about the Pax Bisonica!

How about this gem:

Raul Julia - "You've made me a very happy man...."
Van Damme - "And now, I'll make you a dead one!"

Also points for his rant at the end about "For I beheld Satan, as he fell from heaven, like LIGHTNING!!!!!" lol!

Such a fun, irreverent movie to someone who grew up with the SF series.

OK...series...most of them were 2s, but they eventually got to 3...  LOL

Yep, it was an interesting take on the franchise! I love the film, but by comparison, the first `Mortal Kombat' totally nailed it! Great flick, endlessly rewatchable!

Oh, and a favourite quote from the first Punisher flick:

COP: "What the hell do you call 125 murders in five years....."
PUNISHER: "Work in progress..."

Loved Kano!

"But what I saw was not a fair fight!  So he freezes this guy- and then he explodes!  Ah could see 'is guts and everything!"

Goro:  "Disgusting!"

"Mwah! Did you miss me, baby?!"

One thing I noticed when I watched `Masters Of The Universe' and `Red Sonja' back to back recently was just how stunning the proper old sets and costumes were. Skeletor's throne room was exquisite!

And they've both aged better than most modern multi-million dollar CGI/greenscreen crapfests!

The Crow pretty much blows away every other movie on this list.

Honorable mentions for Darkman and Spawn.

I'm usually pretty forgiving of comic related movies, but although I really liked much of it when it came out, I truly struggled with `Spawn' when I tried to get through it a few weeks ago! Some terrific special effects and just as many awful ones. The CGI Devil was a real low point! Man, that film gets a lot of hate....but I've seen endless worse ones!

I've collected that comic from the very beginning (and still going), and overall the film was a pretty admirable attempt at a difficult concept to mass-market into a popcorn film!

The Shadow for me, if only because The Crow already has votes and I feel this one needs them.
