Hi everybody,

I just want to know if anybody is familiar with this band, in which Mick Farren played.

Their first album,    PTOOFF!   ,     is a mixture of prog and underground music, a lot of band took inspiration from it (SEX PISTOLS, MOTORHEAD).

Has anybody ever heard it?     (or other albums of their discography     )

IMO they' re very progressive, a mixture of acid folk and psychedelia. Nice band and nice compositions. Let me know if you ever heard of them.

Yes, I have 'Ptoof!' and their eponymous third album, and I enjoy them considerably- they feature some great heavy psych rock with political overtones. I think of them as a forerunner to bands like The Edgar Broughton Band and The Pink Fairies, who most of The Deviants, um, deviated to later. I think prog fans would like these albums myself; I'd call them loosely progressive rock.

Mick Farren wrote a autobiography set during the period of The (Social) Deviants coming and going:

Should have added, I have a couple  PTOOF LP covers (sans LPs, which came as display covers into the record shop I worked, way back when), each fold out to a 24" by 36" poster, in the style of Roy Lichstenstein work (or was it Lichstenstein's anyway???)
