Dotun Adebayo, with Jah Wobble
12th August BBC 5

Dotun has just said that the bass Player in bands gets the bird at the end of the gig.
so, in your opine, which Prog Bass Player gets laid the most, and more regularly than the other players in the band.
And
which unfortunate [?fortunate) bass-player doesnt ever get laid.
Due to Personal Testament i shall put forward > Dave Anderson [ex Amon Duul, Hawks et al]
as i tried to ask serious fan questions once to him, but the 'groupie' would insist on sticking her tongue in his mouth incessantly , ruining my efforts to elucidate historical importance [?impotence] from the situation !
And for Fairness, Both Gender's are to be considered here.

Reminds me of the line sung by my fave Bass player the late Helmut Koellen on "Lucky Girl" by Triumvirat, a song about a chick "And when we ride on tomorrow, I know I'll find someone new", sounds like Helmut had his fun! As for the other band members, who knows, who cares?

Joking, joking! (Ermm good to know..) then I'm guessing really any bassist who was in a well-known 80's rock band.

Definitely adds to the respect I have toward him. I was making an assumption, and probably should've done a little background check. I take the blame!

LOL note taken. Gotta be careful where you bring up Geddy's name. People will defend his honor! He has some kind of 'fan base' Tongue
So I guess if he's a virgin and has a wife, Geddy must be the unfortunate bass-player who doesn't get laid Tongue

Don't post joke threads in the Prog Lounge, please.

Joke ?
A comment was made on Radio, about the trend that suggests the bass Player is the one who gets attention.
Dotun has been a part of the Uk London Punk Scene, and this comment was in the Company of Jah Wobble., and The [non-musician in me] wondered whether this is the case amongst  the Prog Rock Fraternity.
I did post an actual experience with Dave Anderson, which may [or may not] reinforce this Sexual Potential reality.
But rather than Post it as some Analytic Proposal, i Posted it with an 'air' of Flippancee about it, making it [in my mind] more palatable.
So.
It's No Joke., But, as we are addressing the sexuality in us., the likely-hood that it'll become enriched with Mirth, is Unavoidable !
No Joke !

Frankly, I always hear/read that no one (especially the groupies) noticed the bass players.

I think it's a thread for bass players who want to meet groupies.

Apart from Dave Anderson., i went to see Jack Bruce, Dick Heckstall-Smith with The Norman Beaker Blues Band circa 1997.

I went back-stage to have a chat, and guess what!

Jack Bruce was not available., as he was seeing to a whench., apparently the rest of the band said this was quite thee Norm for Jack and Bass-Player's!!

see, there may be a point to this thread !

or no thread at all

red sauce, brown sauce, or no sauce at all !!
