I´m looking for some fast, crazy progressive music something a long the lines of The Mars Volta but also some weird Gong/Primus styles. So if you have anything in mind feel free to name the band and some song suggestions. Thanks

Specifically his 'Naked City' work, although its not prog.

However, you may find it too "Mr. Bungle-like" for your taste.

Bill Laswell's Praxis?

Praxis meets Primus in the form of  Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains?

And the current darlings of the British n.jazz scene Acoustic Ladyland. See if you can find Last Chance Disco - some reviewers have been suggesting Zorn influences, as well as rock, punk, Hendrix etc

I gotta second Praxis. Specifically, the first album, "Transmutation", has some real gems on it.
