When attempting to turn in a review for Anthony Phillips' Soiree, it's giving me this message: (and I have to type it out because I can't just paste the screenshot, and it's not on some URL) Rating/Review posted 6/1/2012 AM, for this album already exist for user (Raccoon). You can edit your old ratings and reviews, (and so on).
What I'm thinking is that since I just put on the album how many stars I gave it (rating) I can't post a review. ANYWHERE! I tried editing my 'old reviews' and once I press save, the screen reloaded quickly and all my writing was gone. Leaving me confused and helpless.
So what I'm hoping is perhaps someone could tell me how to delete the amount of stars you gave on the album previously, so then you can actually type up a review. Thanks for reading this and PLEASE HELP

Same thing, I press save and the writing goes blank. Luckily I have it all copied on notepad. Oh, perhaps, I just looked at a word count, and it's 94. That may be the problem

Nope. Save and blank still.

That may be the case. There's the choice to edit, but when attempting to save, it comes to the same conclusion.

Rating deleted.
Once you manage to post the review could you try editing it please. Non-PRs can edit their reviews.

Oh, that's the case. Huh. So if you rate, you can't ever review? In my case, that's where this stands? Well

^ No - if you rate you can add a review later - I don't know what is happining in this case - it is likely to be a User side issue as no other member has reported a problem - but until I have more data I cannot analyse the problem furher. Starting from a clean-slate, posting a review and then making an edit is the easiest way of gathering more data.

I've attempted to put down the review, and once all done, I hit submit and it was all gone. It didn't post. All that it did was rate the album 4*

Every song contains an extraordinary amount of creativity. Not in complexity, but in sheer beauty. Anyone who turns to The Snow Goose to relax, or anyone in general who wants to sit back and enjoy the solemness of life will find love for this album.<p>I only give it 4* due to the fact the average prog lover may not like this, as this isn't true progressive music. But anyone who wants a calming album with a variety of textures and moods just from one man and a piano will find sanctuary here.

That's only 92 words - reviews of less than 100 words are not saved - add 9 more words and all will be good.

So that's where the problem lies? I'm sorry, I tried posting it didn't work, I edited it, and it worked. Sorry to waste your time, but thanks for helping me!

I thought this thread would bring up the issue of leaving a rating only, then later when you type up a review, it doesn't show up on the home page. Yet, if you do that on JMA or MMA, it still gets posted on the home page.

It's a shame that if you write a review you don't get first review credits if someone has merely put in a rating. It's a small thing, but still...

It's obviously something Max is aware of and knows how to fix for the PA.

It still is a shame. It easily gets lost in the midst of all the other reviews, thus no one will see it. Small thing, but it should be fixed. Agreed!

Yes, same with me. I rated some albums beforehand. Now that I decided to add some reviews here or there, it won't show up on the first page...

This wouldn't be a problem if it were possible to delete your own ratings. Which I often wish I could do, because many of my ratings were added in the spur of the moment when I was hardly familiar with the album in question.

Well you can always change your ratings. I have done so myself, whenever I have revisited an album and found it slightly better or worse than what I remembered it to be. Allright, it's happened three times, but the thing itself is easy to do.
I agree, that it would be nice to have the power to delete ones ratings in favour of a written review though.

I know. The problem is that I rated a few albums I haven't actually listened to in their entirety, and that might not change anytime soon.

I think you can ask an admin to delete the ratings in question. I heard, they did it already on request.
