In 2006 I started reviewing albums.  On a whim I decided to google myself and found to my shock I had an internet prescence based on a review I did of Voyage Of The Acolyte here.  I have no problems representing myself here and on the internet as who I really am. How about you?

Damn! Beat me to it. LOL

I suppose I do worry about some of my socialist political ravings being out there on FB under my real name.  Some employer or potential employer could probably find out that I think employers often mistreat and underpay their employees and that I think we should tax the Censored out of the rich.  I'm also very pro-union and pro-labor.  I suppose I stand for everything that America is opposed to as a whole.  That could bite me at some point.  But I guess I'd rather not work for some right-winger in the first place.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I've been pretty good so far about keeping my privates... er, keeping my life private and off the internet.  Anything out there with my name on it is probably music related - though some of it might be *slightly* off color or minimally embarrassing, there's nothing that really keeps me up at night.

It helps that there is an semi-famous Australian airplane pilot who has the same name as I.  It helps water down any potential Google searches on my name.

My name, when googled, brings up an array of people that are not me, so I'm not worried. Besides, I never give my last name on the internet anyway.

Same for me: I have a dozen of homonymes - a dozen at least.

I regret most everything I did before 2008, so I'm voting Yes.

Actually, I have to wait two more months for that.  Last night was a baseball game.  For $7.75 a beer, one should get maximum effect from one's beer. Beer

Yeesh. Makes me feel fine that I don't like sports.

They charge the same at concerts (at least arena concerts).  Probably not so much for bar gigs, but still too much.

No beer is worth $7.75 unless it is brought to you by a scantly clad Sofia Vergara.  Tongue

Googling my real name yields results of everyone in the world with my name - except me.

And I intend to keep it that way insofar as humanly possible.

Most (all?) of the links for me come up with my posts about computer programming etc.  No biggie.
Surprised to see others with the same name as me, however!

If my username isn't enough....

Google search doesn't produce anything damning, so I don't mind. All y'all are benevolent enough, so I doubt me saying my name is Andy Webb is going to hurt anyone. There are plenty of Andy Webbs out there.

I don't think I am.

It takes you awhile while searching my name to find anything that has to do with me, mostly stuff from Bad News Bears.

Not even my writings show up for awhile which is saddening. I guess they do with my pen name.

I haven't used my name on the net since 1995, but I'm surprised that googling my name still brings up my name from before that (from about 1993 to '95).
At that time it was just a curiosity and nobody really took the net very seriously.
Bloody annoying!

I'm actively trying to displace another guy with my name (who writes tech support articles) from my google results, so I guess that means I'm not worried about it. Big smile

There's this lawyer who has same last and first name that shows up but he spells Lindsey with an a.  I would attempt to sue him, but you know, he's the lawyer. Tongue
