sorry if i make mistakes (hope this works...)

here we go:

in mid 70's we had in rio de janeiro a radio specialized in progressive rock. was called "eldorado fm", popular known as "eldo pop".

one certain dawn i heard a song that was almost 20/25 minutes, with a space drums solo tahat is about 15/20.

i call it "space drums". unfornately i could not record it because i was camping.

that's all i know about it.

can you help me??

as far as i remeber - the song is instrumental.

in the beginning - all instruments, then drums solo, return the instruments and finish.

space drums - something like echo (hard to describe in english) - not the normal sound of a drums solo, maybe like kraftwerk in autobahn (i'm not sure if this is a good example) but is more closer to what i've heard than bozzio or palmer or paice (sorry if you don't understand).

Most of the 80s/90s Grateful dead drum solos/jams are listed in Set lists as 'drums/space'.

Some of it is very electronic/MIDI..generally weird. but always good.

Space drums is a term often used for a specially low bass drum (Bigger in size) with low vibration, take for example Pink Floyd a space band thatuses a lot of bass drum.

Take also the intro of Also Spracht Zaratustra in 2001 A Space Odyssey, the Orchestra uses low drums to createthe space effect.

Later this effect (like an echoe) was created with electronic drums and synths.

At least that's what we called space drums when we played a couple decades ago.
