Believe it or not, before I saw this poll, I was just now watching Bert and Ernie with the kids and was wondering to myself which of the two I'd rather have as a roommate.

Went with Bert. He can be kind of a buzzkill, but his heart's in the right place, and he at least has some common sense that Ernie doesn't have.

| The funny thing is that they're both dicks (different kinds of dicks- Ernie's dickishness is much less intentional than Bert's) and would be just irritating individually, but as a pair they become likeable and entertaining. |
