OK, I guess the result of this poll will be very predictable, but who do you like better as a guitar player, David Gilmour or George Harrison?

I looooove George Harrison and his All things must pass exceeds anything Gilmour did as a solo artist, even within Floyd, but he never had those butter fingers that could scoop you up and bend the very veins in your heart.
So mind guru or sonic guru? Voted for the latter here.

An effective synthesis of what I think, too.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Harrisson is a very good guitar player, but I like Gilmour's guitar style even better.

Gilmour has gone on record admitting that he was influenced by Harrison's playing. Listen to "Us and Them" and "Breathe," those are clearly influenced by Harrison's use of arpeggios. I'm going with Gilmour, but Harrison was a great guitarist in his own right.

Well put!

Another thing: Gilmour's guitar playing was hugely more important to the sound and musical build of Floyd than Harrison's was to The Beatles.

I must say Gilmour myself. He may not be the most flashy guitar player out there, but he might just as well be my favourite guitar player all the same.
