Besides Prog Archives, which isn't bad for any internet interest area.....
Your sites: hard news, soft news + entertainment, hard political, soft political + satirical, you know what I mean.
For hard news my regular stop is Reuters.com. Quite clear cut though they aren't as neutral as they pretend to be. Simple layout, simple articles, simple goals, good coverage, updated quickly and lots of independent reporting and polls.
For soft news and entertainment I consult EPSN.com baseball section, Brain Damage magazine for Pink Floyd News every once in a great while (Prog Archives news threads basically do it for me for music news), for star Trek news and facts I look at the Memory Alpha wiki, though my interest in Star Trek is on the wane of late. For information about Movies = Rotten Tomatoes, and in general for soft (and hard) information about anything Wikipedia every day all the time. I also love AllMusic for music reviews and Robert Christgau's site for infuriating insults about my favorite albums.
For hard political coverage I go to WSWS.org the World Socialist Web Site. I sometimes consult rival sites to laugh at them derisively. I occasionally visit Rasmussen the conservative polling site, Economic Policy Institute the liberal statistics web site, I don't usually read liberal sites because I already am familiar with their obsessions (Obama, Identity, The Environment...etc.) I read the conservative political opinions much more often, because I think they are more honest (or blatant?). I like conservative sites like Market Watch.com as well. Murdoch's main venture Fox News Is a little too insanely Hearst-like to read, however.
When I want to watch movies or shows its of course Hulu and Netflix (what else is there? I guess I've watched some movies on Amazon).
I listen to music on Rhapsody, which is the ONLY way to listen to music, IMO.
Interested to hear sites and maybe learn some new ones!

If I had to divide up my time spent on the internet, it would be:
40% Reddit (and sites found on reddit) 30% Facebook 10% Netflix 5% Youtube 5% Gmail 2% Sweetwater 3% Newegg 5% Other (Progarchives?)
...except a lot of them are always open.
I guess I like Reddit most because I can customize it to my interests.

I wish I was more adventurous on the net, but the majority of my time is spent here on PA, and the rest I go to BBC and/or Sky for news & sport, You Tube for light relief and music, Marillion.com for obvious reasons, my local golf club to book times ( ), Amazon to buy things, and for random looks at things I use Stumble Upon.

Great idea for a thread!
I must say that the average time I've been on PA in the last few months has increased dramatically.
I'm Youtube addict, admittedly.
In more recent discoveries, if you ever are interested in Bob Drake, then his website is great and has a lot of thought put into it.
I love last.fm. It is my main way to discover new music.
IGN has some fun stuff.
Gunnerkrigg court is the best web comic I've read on the internet.
And then there's Haaretz.co.il and ynet.co.il for all my news stuff.

Used to post weird music on Facebook, but I never visit anymore.
PA is my preferred site, although it's a bad place to be, if I'm feeling erotically charged. What? With all the naked man asses around here.
I also use Politiken, RYM, YouTube, Kultunaut, Mad Magazine, various beat generation web sites as well as Karmamusic.dk.

I'm consuming excessive amounts of football this season, so I'm spending a lot of time downloading and listening to podcasts such as The Guardian's Football Weekly (*****), the BBC 5live World Football Phone-In (*****), The Football Ramble (****1/2), French Football Weekly (***1/2), sometimes the BBC 5live Football Daily (very variable content and quality), La Liga Weekly (****), etc. I also spend too much time on a couple of football forums, one of which being that of The Football Ramble. Other podcasts that I listen are BBC 5live Sports Specials, BBC Arts and Ideas, The Guardian's Music Weekly.
I discovered podcasts not long ago and I think they're brilliant; they're entertaining and keep me up to date in a more efficient manner. Listening to the content is less time consuming than reading, and that is important in our times of information saturation.
I don't follow any news outlets, I prefer to read what my selected friends / connections share on Facebook and Twitter, they work as my filter to the world. It saves time. The only newspaper website that I sometime browse in its entirety is The Guardian.
I keep up to date with the latest music releases on RYM and a couple of Facebook groups.
Another forum that is taking (too) much of my time is SkyScraperCity, dedicated to skyscrapers, architecture and urban civilization in general.

PA, JMA, RYM, Gnosis2000 and Rock6070, YT, Discogs for music that (music) is about 90% of my private web consumption... but for work, it's rather different most of the rest is wiki, news and a bit of sport (cycling mostly) and an LPG forum (I drive LPG) and sometimes check out whisky sites No social networks for this dude!!
