Lastly, they just had to start over and make a new Facebook page as the old one was glitched and unsearchable, so please head to the new one and unlike any of the others!

I just discovered this band late last year when I saw a copy of The Collective in the local record store.  I can't actually recall why I decided to buy it, as I don't think I'd ever even heard of the band.  Nonetheless, I'm glad I did!  Great instrumental progressive metal!

Saw the show in Fort Worth.

There are absolutely progressive / experimental elements to Scale The Summit compositions.

There are very heavy sounds mixed with more melodic, sometimes almost ambient atmospheric elements. The compositions are always very complex, some odd time signatures, it seems post metal at times, very hard to categorize the band, but the whole concept that “the strings are our voices” instrumental music that is always so interesting, is really experimental on its own.

Not only are the compositions themselves interesting, but having seen the band live, I can say that  someone, whether it is you, the totally bad arse bassist 6 string bassist that you are, or Chris, Travis, or the drummer, someone is always doing something worth watching closely, and hearing.

You really are carving out your own desert canyons in the music industry! I’m not a metal guy, but I can listen to Scale the Summit any time.

One thing I want to ask you, and I mentioned it to Chris once (we have emailed each other some) is, how on earth do your fingers survive playing that 6 string base beast? I’m a guitarist, but I have a 6 string bass I use for some of my recordings, and sure I can play it, for a while… But I feel it afterwards, I was wondering how you are going to survive this tour with a string of shows with 80 minute music marathons? I’m a bigger guy than you and have longer fingers, and I still find the 6-string bass fret board like navigating an 18-wheeler truck, that will shred my fingers in an hour, yet you were all over that basses fret board with amazing skill. How do you do it? Do your fingers/hands ever get sore?

By the way, if anyone is reading this, you HAVE to go to their shows! This is an important band that HAS to continue to grow, and cement it’s position! Support them!

Been a huge fan since Carving Desert Canyons. Sadly they're coming nowhere near me this time around though, but they tour a frightening amount so I'm sure I'll see them soon enough.
