I like Kraftwerk, but their hate of tours is a bit frustrating (on the other hand, they are in their sixties): eight (8) days in the MoMA makes sense, but I would be glad if they could stay in other towns this long. Example: if they came to Paris, maybe they could stay longer than ONE concert? |

Only one is in their 60's and is original--the other robots are much younger and prove certain groups can go on forever without original's-
 --what's all the fuss about Yes--they at least have 3 classic members---Kraftwerk down to one---it's more fun to compute. (I'm trying to go to a show if I can get tickets) |

I used to have Autobahn before I was officially into prog. Alas it was a flood casualty. I could probably arrange to go see a show but can't afford to get there. Maybe they'll put out DVDs...

When and how do you become 'officially' into prog? Do you get a certificate? Is there an official ordination? Do you get a Title?
^ I also heard that Kraftwerk are not all the original members.

That summer changed a lot for me musically. I'd been a music lover since I was really young. There was always music in the family. But '78 was really transitional. Anyway, hats off to Kraftwerk for doing a set at a reasonable price in a nice museum. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

$25 seems very good to me. I haven't been to see any 'big bands' for years and a friend of mine was looking at going to see Tom Petty (Who ironically was at Knebworth 78 too) and prices were 1, 2 . 3 hundred pounds! Which I found astounding! (Concidering I saw him and Genesis and Devo etc for £5.50). No wonder they say the money is in touring these days. ------------- Help me I'm falling! |

I think I missed the gist of that response. It was held at the Georgia Tech Coliseum but was an open to the public concert. I was part of a group that went to the show that included my Mom, brother, a few friends of my brother, and one of my friends from middle school. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
