Both PETE & ROYCE private albums

Suffering of Tomorrow (1980)
Days of Destruction (1981)

are reissued on a single disk. Licensed directly from the band’s leader Panos Tsiros and mastered by their original keyboardist Nick Ghinos this is a very welcoming release very true to the original sound.

"Suffering of Tomorrow" to my ears is probably among the top 5 greek prog albums and essential for all underground prog fans. A deep mid 70ies vibe is running through all the album bridging Floydian soundschemes with the mellowness of the british school of CZAR, CRESSIDA, FANTASY, KESTREL, early B.J.H. A period piece undoubtfuly, but with that exquisite basement feel encountered in the early british proto-progressive bands.

Their second offering "Days of Destruction" is somewhat more unevenly balanced, as folky progressive influences were blended together with a more mainstream and somewhat uninspired approach; funky orientated straight rock sounds and female vocals. Pleasant listen but more for completists.

If in need of a copy, you can communicate with the label directly at [email protected] , but to my knowledge it shall soon be to the usual retailers.

I've just finished listening to these albums on said 2 for 1 CD.Quite good,of course not great, but good old space/symph/folky prog akin to what some of their europeans contempraries were doing then;Ivory,Machiavel,Synopsis,Angipatch,Flame Dream,ect....
Both records have been transffered from mint LPs and thus shows a bit of limitation, but not enough to prevent enjoyment.Don't excpect "Dark Side Of The Moon" production values as both records were private pressings and very limited quantities.I suppose both are rare in LP format.
But this band definately should be on PA,I suppose in the same category as the bands mentionned before or maybe ecclectic or even neo prog.
