Not for a year or so now. I've decided I look better with short hair, and the increased amount of female attention I've experienced would probably be my first witness.

Only for my 4 years at Uni!
Though my hair goes every way but down, so even when it was long it was never straight, just a curly jewfro type mess. Now it's pretty short. Pretty much short at home/working..long at school.

Not anymore. Back in the day I did. I liked it, but I like the ease of washing this buzz cut better. Takes about 3 seconds to wash and no dry time.

I don't go buzz at least not on purpose. But, yeah, when my hair starts taking too long to dry in the morning some of it has got to go. This time I left it thicker on top as it's winter.

I very much do have long hair. I go places and I'm usually the guy with the longest hair there (somewhere I went recently it was pretty much just me and my mate with long hair on the entire site). In fact, often I have longer hair than many of the girls.
It's amusing.
Yes it is a pain to look after but that doesn't really bother me. I've had long hair since I was about 21/22 or so.

Longish right now. I've had to keep it short for school for the past 6 years, but now that I'm finished I'll be growing it out fairly long methinks.
-------------

I had it longish - shoulder-length - for awhile in my 20s, but it got to be too much of a pain to deal with, so I've been keeping it short ever since. It's still a pain because it's very thick and has this uncontrollable wave on top, plus I'm now affected by a bald patch.
And long or short has made no difference, as womenfolk have always found me repulsive.

Got down to shoulder length for a while when I was a teenager, but I started going bald in my twenties and now I just shave it off every few weeks. Low maintenance and as an added benefit the skinhead look has gotten me out of jury duty twice now...

It was weird, I spent most of University with medium length hair (curtains) and then I did my exams and was growing it long... so by the time I graduated, I had long hair. I think a few of my course mates were surprised as they hadn't seen me for a few months!

Friends don't let friends get haircuts.
Seriously though, you should do what you're comfortable with. Especially when it comes personal things like your hair length. Do your own thang and your group will eventually respect you all the more for it.

From a 1978 Steve Morse interview:
So then our family moved to Georgia, and I freaked out. Total,
complete culture shock. Because as soon as we stepped off the plane and
said, “Hello, Georgia,” rednecks started hassling me and my brother –
immediately. Because our hair was halfway over our ears, and it was
totally unheard of.
Would they kick you out of school for it?
Sure! I mean, from the very first day. I got into a fight with kids
my own age, a gang of rednecks. This is the scene: We move to Georgia,
it’s burning hot, I don’t know anybody, the music sounds terrible on the
radio, there’s dirt everywhere, our house has no lawn. I walk outside
and get in a fight with everybody. Go to school the next day with a
black-and-blue face, really pissed off at the world, and then they kick
me out of school. They won’t even let me register! So that was in eighth
grade, and how old are you in eighth grade – 13? And it was in a time
in my life where it wasn’t too cool to have too many social disorders.
And every week – or every two weeks – from then on, they would
just kick me out. Same thing: “Why don’t you cut your hair?” “Okay,
sure. I’ll cut my hair.” And then I’d just push it behind my ears and
say, “See, I cut my hair.” They’d say, “Okay. Wait a minute! What’s
that!?”

I had a similar hairstyle to Robert Plant back when he had a lion mane, but had to trim it down because I couldn´t breathe. Must´ve lost a couple of pounds right there... Right now, I´m sporting an Indian Hiawatha Mohawk due - only with some wild looking curls. I think I´ll let it grow long again, and seeing as none of the men in my family loose their hair - I´ll probably look like Moufasa when I´m old and shout profanities at trees and lampposts.

Currently, my hair is short-ish.
I started growing out my hair in high school. I then got it cut during 11th grade and had it short for a few months. I let it grow again until the massive curly lion mane was just too much to handle and I had my last haircut about 6 months ago, hence the short-ish length.

I had really long hair in the 70's and to be honest, I looked too much like a girl Of course my stupied picture would show up in newspapers with other glamo rockers I worked with. Girls were following me everywhere and it must have appeared to others that I was one of them. Talk about the ancient...in the 70's when girls followed guys around with long hair. Macho guys in the audience would be jealous and make some pretty rude provoking remarks like "Isn't she sweet?" Then you had all these ego rockers playing guitar letting their hair swing across their faces. Jesus H! That crap made me so sick to my stomach. I wasn't the type of person to agree with fashion and regardless of what it contained on the agenda of others, it was the clone wars for me. I wore those satin jackets and I looked identical to Andy Frasier on the cover of the Free album "Fire and Water". Isn't she sweet? I still can't get over how stupied the remarks and the hair style itself ...was. What a waste of energy.
