I think Abbey Road is the most difficult Beatles album to choose a favourite from. So many of them are amazing.

I'm trying to figure out how I should vote in each poll because you really can't cast the same vote can you?

Lately, it's been "She's so Heavy".  That long drawn out coda is one of the coolest pieces of music ever.

Well, if I cannot choose for the medley as a whole (nudge nudge, wink wink Wink ) , I choose Sun King.

The Beatles were good at close harmony. I could have voted Because as well. Mind you, AR is also good because it has some powerful rock tracks. But the two tracks that I mentioned are my favourites.

Come Together, Something, Oh! Darling, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here Comes the Sun, You Never Give Me Your Money, She Came In Through the Bathroom Window and Golden Slumbers are all some of the most magical music I've ever heard. That's like what, 8 out of 17? Not bad. Note that I think most of the rest is also awesome, but these are the cream of the crop.

For the sake of this thread, my gut feeling told me to go for You Never Give Me Your Money because it's the first song from the album I fell in love with,

Oh I think 'Her Majesty' ;  is there a funnier, more poignant or appropriate goodbye from anyone?

Caravan's "The Fear And Loathing In Tollington Park Rag", the album closer on Cunning Stunts, was inspired by "Her Majesty", the album closer on Abbey Road, don't you all think?

A long time ago I was once jogging around Tollington Park area. Didn't have my glassesConfused on and found I was well lost, Pinchquite late at night too. What fun that was.

Then I heard this Rag when I got this album sometime after...Violin made me smile anyway.Tongue

That's a nice story.
I searched on Google and saw that there was actually a recording studio at Tollington Park from Decca. So there's another analogy to be found between Abbey Road and Tollington Park.
Or is this all well known to progressive Brits / Englishmen / Londoners?
