I am a bassist wanting to establish a rhythm section to form a progressive avant-garde band with a unique sound and ethos, that once fully rehearsed, shall record and perform wherever we are invited: not with the idea of making money but with the incentive of being a creative resource.

I am looking for a drummer/percussionist (from any discipline, world sound) who can drum in other than 4-4 and who wants to be a creative driver of music arrangements and integral to the progressive compositions within the music. I am looking for an artist who appreciates space within songs and enjoys devising odd time signatures and has a playful use of accents, atmosphere and minimalism.

I would like an artist who enjoys creative processes and is not trapped into the TOY MONKEY bashing a drum mentality. This project should be a fun and expressive exercise, where the rhythm section can really care about the intricacies within their craft.

Influences are:
Henry Cow, Thinking Plague, Dr Nerve, Secret Chiefs Three, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Degenerate Art Ensemble, Guapo, Idiot Flesh, Mirthkon, Stravinsky.
