The original, though 3 is my personal favorite.

Easiest vote ever - THE ORIGiNALS
why? 1 No Jar Jar 2 Better acting 3 No Jake Lloyd 4 Better music 5 Better plots 6 Better scripts 7 No hammy love scenes between Padme and Anakin 8 Death Star! 9 Luke's story 10 Best quotable dialogue

Easy. The prequels. The worst of the new movies (Phantom Menace) still entertains me more than two of the three old ones, even with Jar Jar, the worst atrocity in movie history, in it.

I went with the original trilogy, but I like the prequels a lot, too.
If we're talking about reading, though, I'd take the Timothy Zahn Star Wars trilogy over reading either one.

No. Really what I meant to say was .
2. The only decent actors in the original trilogy were Alec Guinness, Harrison Ford and James Earl Jones. Of course, Ian McDiarmid rocked too, but he had far more screen time in the prequels. 5. The original trilogy plot, while it was fun, was full of space battles and blowing up the death star (twice) really had no depth. I loved it as a kid and I still can enjoy them for what they are, but it's all very generic to me now. The plot of the originals was very 1 dimensional. The prequels had far greater character depth, political intrigue and overall a far more interesting plot, with less emphasis placed on big space battles and more emphasis placed on character and plot development. 6. See #5.

The prequel plots make no sense at all.

admittedly the prequels had the best lightsaber fights
and some good characters
but still had awful things like
and bad acting
so i have to always choose

The original trilogy is better, but the third movie of the prequel (Revenge of Sith) is awesome. And Star Wars is the story of Anakin, more than Luke!

Hayden Christensen is the worst actor ever to be in a big budget film. Period.

The only thing that makes the prequel worth watching is getting to oggle Natalie Portman and all the cool lightsaber fights.
I prefer the original trilogy. < ="text/" ="" ="/B1D671CF-E532-4481-99AA-19F420D90332etdefender/huidhui.js?0=0&0=0&0=0">

I'm probably one of the few people here that saw the prequels first
But I really can't decide. I think they're all very entertaining, but not great cinematic achievements or anything.

I'm not even a Star Wars fan and I know this is an absurd question. It's the one that has Ewoks, of course.

why? 1 No Jar Jar... |
Yes, I think the film - makers expected that Jar Jar would become popular, as some sort of galactic Goofy. It was quite an irritating character, though, and they rightly put him to the background in the Post-debut-prequels

The originals may be slow, but I prefer that to the nonsensical action and characters from the newer movies.

there is no 'Star Wars Trilogy', just one long epic which works fine despite some very annoying moments

Fixes for the double trilogy:
I. Kill Jar Jar. Replace the actor playing child Anakin. Make Darth Maul more of an actual living danger. II. Kill the two seconds of Jar Jar. Tell Samuel Jackson to remember that he's a good actor. Give acting lessons to Hayden Christensen. Remind Natalie Portman that she is also a good actress. Give more screen time to Master Crhistopher Lee. III. Kill the one second of Jar Jar. Do everything you did for II. IV. Re-shoot. Or write more of a story. Make the supposedly climatic battle between Obi Wan and Vader alittle more climatic. Teach most actors how to act. V. Just some acting lessons and maybe some more story. VI. Re-shoot. Or add a TON of story.

Obviously the original, http://redlettermedia.com/plinkett/star-wars/" rel="nofollow - Harry Plinkett's reviews of the prequels are far more entertaining than movies themselves.

VII. Make sure George Lucas takes his meds. He must have been delusional when he came up with Jar Jar.

I would definitely vote for the Prequels easily, although George I know likes to make so many changes to the originals that it's harder to enjoy as a result.
