Hi:
I'm thinking about buying a dvd recorder to transfer my old vhs tapes onto dvd. I've read the info: dvd -r dvd -rw, dvd +r +rw and dvd ram (the three formats). My question is: should I wait until hd dvd takes off or should I buy a multi format dvd recorder? Does anyone out there have any experience with this that they want to share with a Vancouver ISLAND, BC, Canada ELP FAN?

If you want a quality device, turn on Pionner, they are the best currently for this technology.
