Been listening to the new album from art rockers Jane's Addiction quite a bit this week, The Great Escape Artist and it's not bad at all, in fact very good at the very least. Not as adventurous as early stuff but less of a straight rock album than Strays some eight years or so ago. It's got a very trippy vibe. Duff Mckagan who joined for a short while reckoned they were like Pink Floyd now! well they're not, He clearly has never listened to PF, but it does have a spacey feel with some great songs, all on the short side, as is the album - only 40 minutes. Nevertheless a welcome return from a great band.

Any other fans here?

Yeah, I saw them just last year (almost by accident) and it reminded me of how much I liked their work, made me dig up their albums. So it's nice to hear that the new one is good, I wasn't sure whether to jump in or not, so I reckon I will now (son as I can afford it of course)
