Thanks. But I don't want to give the impression I did a lot of work. I have used a music making programme Dean, which comes with al sorts of samples. One has to simply drop them in the timeline. I'm not pretending to be a great talent but its the only way I can create something. I used MAGIX products for quite some time before switching to Sony. The martial snare intro is inspired but I'm not so keen on the throbbing 'dancey' sounding synth sample (it cuts off very abruptly as the piece develops) liked the skittering hi hat bit and isolated drums passages, nice melodic ideas and textures in the middle. Very haunting lead sound circa 5.22 which imitates the human voice quite effectively. Not so keen on the palm muted guitar sample (seems incongruous with the overall feel) Circa 7.00 there's a brilliant momentary collision of synth and snare which makes the latter sound as if it's like a tuned gong type 'thang' Pretty nifty and a damn sight better than most of the loop based dance music I've heard. -------------

I like the compositions and the style, but I think the quality of the samples and synths is questionable. I think it would be neat to see what you could do with a good set of instrument plugins. |
