More like 10+ times over the past 2 years...Doesn't anybody spend 15 seconds searching before rushing out and making a new thread? Or at least check the dates? People were complaining about this repost http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=63011" rel="nofollow - in 2009 . This is even worse than the "most unwanted music" song.

It was posted http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=81480" rel="nofollow - a few hours ago and in http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=76039" rel="nofollow - in February of this year . This is not something that is so high quality it needs to be reposted every 6 months for the benefit of the people who wander into the fandom or the internet in the intervening time. It's not like it's hard to find.

And it doesn't even have a decent thread title so the next person who discovers it on their own can easily find this thread with the search and perhaps not make another one...

I think he's probably likeable in real life, but it's difficult not to keep on thinking he's actually the character from There Will Be Blood, who isn't likeable at all!

Then again, a lot of people think I'm actually http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Big_Lebowski" rel="nofollow - The Dude ...... LOL

I believe he'd actually be a productive admin. Hell, he probably cares about the colour scheme issue on JMA I complained about 7 months ago (and quite a few members agreed with me), something M@x doesn't give a sh*t about, although he promised a solution.

I don't see the big deal with having the same thing posted multiple time. Redundancy isn't a bad thing if it gives people a chance to read and discuss something they haven't before, etc. Especially considering that I've seen you react with just about the same amount of disdain to gravediggers - if they can't post a new topic, and they can't bump old ones, are they doomed to never discuss a certain topic because they happened to miss the magic timeframe where it was originally discussed?

I recommend re-naming the thread title to something more obvious for searching purposes and being able to find like Cracked On Prog and place it in Just For Fun.  I think it's the first time I've seen it in this form though.  And I appreciate the humor, it appears to be written by a true fan.

By the way, people could do a better job with their thread titles.  When appropriate, put your screen name in it instead of making it too generic.  That way people can go "Oh that pinhead again, don't need to bother with that."  Which is why I put Slartibartfast in any poll I launch when I should.  The only time I got it wrong was on 9/11/11 releases poll.  I should have just left it at choices of stuff I was interested in.

I have seen this article before since I go to Cracked almost as often as ProgArchives.  When I saw the heading, I had a strong inkling on what the discussion was about.  I've read the article numerous times now, and it is still funny.  I think laughing at it is a sign of a true Prog fan, for in doing so, we laugh at ourselves.  Clown

Oh, and this just gives further credence to my theory of the internet:

No matter how old something is, or how many millions of people have already seen it, someone somewhere is seeing it today for the very first time.
