Never heard of it. Obviously I have the albums he made with Irene Papas. Anything like those or are we talking more mainstream?

Among the three tracks, one is french titled : Ou que me porte mon voyage la grece me blesse, Melina tells a poem by Seferis with Vangelis playing with that sound he had in early seventies ( selfmade Hammond with a lot of effects ) a great moment

Hard to keep up with Vangelis's catalogue :-)

Do you know the last legit studio release ( non opera/soundtrack) was Oceanic from 96'. El Greco for me his best classically influenced work was 98'? Perhaps he is enjoying a more sedate way of life now, such a prolific musician in his day.

Don't know the above release

Have either of you heard his soundtrack to the film about El Greco that was released about 4 yrs ago? (not the same as the 1998 release).

I've not tried to get it mainly because I didn't care much for Alexander. Just interested to know if its any good. It is supposed to be different to his original El Greco release.

The info on it taken from http://elsew.com/data/albums.htm#ElGrecoOst" rel="nofollow - http://elsew.com/data/albums.htm#ElGrecoOst

El Greco Original Motion picture Soundtrack (2007)

The Greek digipack CD

Vangelis' soundtrack album for the Greek success movie "El Greco", currently only released in Greece and Spain. Not to be confused with Foros Timis Ston Greco (1995), later rereleased as "El Greco" (1998), both versions of a studio album that has no relation to this 2007 film or its soundtrack album at all.
