I just saw this and I can barely contain my glee.
While all the track titles are enchanting and exciting, I must point out two reasons I'm especially thrilled:
1. "Greek Structure Sunbeam" is a song on the 1971-1973 compilation. It's a sleepy yet bright song with a lovely melody. I can't wait to hear it redone because Lynn Meredith's voice has become rich with age.
2. "On the Air (Again)" relates to the second track on Collector's Sedition: The Director's Cut. It is, in my opinion, the greatest song Kerry Livgren ever released under his own name. Amazing, stunning melody. I wonder if the song will be redone or if it is a sequel, much in the same way he gave us Portrait II and Icarus II.
In other words, DO WANT.

I knew they were working on something so this is great news. Kerry must be at least most of the way back from the health issues so this is a must buy just as a salute to his struggle. And because I love the two PK albums I have.

Livgren has never been a stickler when it comes to spelling ('Point of Know Return', 'Leftoverture') or syntax ("Not Man Big").
Just ordered my copy from Amazon; can't wait to hear it!

I don't believe either Bob or I have ever given a Proto-Kaw album five stars. I know I haven't.

That's a shock, considering that you basically creams yourself over anything remotely Kansas-related, quite like me with DT.
I wasn't surprised about Bob because he has practically reviewd every Kansas album it is possible to review.

I thought you gave them all four stars like me. I had no idea.
For me, the new albums are each marred by a few really silly or corny tracks. When they shine though, wow.

While it's true I love Kansas a lot (seven 5-star albums for me), they put out some sour stuff too, and I say so when they do. And most Kansas-related acts don't appeal to me most of the time (incidentally, Steve Walsh, who gave Kansas their poppier stuff early on usually has created the most amazing, poignant, poetic stuff as a solo artist).

Yeah, well I went all fanboy over 'Early Recordings' and after that I couldn't bring myself to rate 'The Wait of Glory' any lower. Which will leave me in a very difficult place if 'Forth' is anything short of stunning...

Amazing news, can't wait for it. I am also very curious about re-recorded tracks. Collectors Sedition is superb album as well as BBA, I prefer it even over classic Kansas. The Wait for Glory was weaker though imo.

"Incidentally, Steve Walsh, who gave Kansas their poppier stuff early on usually has created the most amazing, poignant, poetic stuff as a solo artist" - totally agree, especially regarding his last two albums.

As for them "spelling fourth wrong" ... It is a play on words. Forth means forward ... so it is a cute word play ... Proto-Kaw moving forward with their 4th release.

Actually have had it for a week or so. I like it. It is a grower rather than a stunner if that makes sense. Some really good work here. Pollex reminds me of Quantum Leapfrog a little. I really like Cold and Clear. Things We are Breaking has a very Jethro Tull influenced musical break.has Sleeping Giant some great Chicago like horns in the verse/chorus and I had heard they were putting a studio version of Skont on here but I guess it didn't happen.
Well for there last g round pretty solid effort. Lynn is in good voice and they all play fine.
Here is a new interview with Kerry here:

^Not knowing what you like it would be hard to say. My Favorite is Before Became After but the The Wait of Glory has a lot of good stuff on it. I pick BBA for a few of songs I truly enjoy, Quantum Leapfrog, Leaven and Theophony. I don't put Early Releases here because that was demos and quite honestly any true Kansas fan or Livgren fan should own that.

My favorite is Before Became After as well. Forth is indeed a 'grower' as has been commented above. Each time I hear it I like it a bit more.

Thank you! Does anyone know if the song that starts playing on the webpage named Excerpt is from the new album? (It sounds great!)
