Depends on the soundcard... what sort of socket are the present speakers connected to? If it's an oldish card probably the only way is to use a stereo minijack > 2 phono lead but there may be better options these days. I haven't tried it on a modern PC.

My soundcard has a 1/8" (miniplug) output jack (as most do) so I use a cable with miniplug on one end and RCA jacks on the other to connect my PC to my stereo reciever.  if you have the same connections(RCA in on stereo reciever and miniplug out on PC), then the right cable is pretty easy to find at any local electronics store, or even some record stores carry them.

My record deck is connected to my soundcard (sound blaster audighy) via a twin phono to mini plug adaptor and the sound card out is connected to my stereo amp aux input.

The only thing i can think of is a stereo 16th inch phone jack for your sound card to two phono outs. Most amps have phono inputs (designed to be used by thing like CD/tape decks), and then the amp then outs it to your speakers. I would also suggest getting some decent speakers also, because many older ones wont be able to handle harsh digital clipping and this could damge them.  Also, make sure your amp can be well ventelated - computers out a stupid amount of noize, especially from music-freaks like us, and excessive use can heat it up and could well possibly damage it.

Sorry i couldn't be of more help.
