Following the turbulent and successful release of “Road Salt One” in the year 2010 and the touring activities in its support which climaxed with shows in India and South America earlier this year, Sweden's PAIN OF SALVATION can now reveal the cover artwork and tracklisting for the “Road Salt Two” album as follows:

PAIN OF SALVATION – “Road Salt Two”

1. Road Salt Theme

2. Softly She Cries

3. Conditioned

4. Healing Now

5. To The Shoreline

6. Eleven

7. 1979

8. The Deeper Cut

9. Mortar Grind

10. Through The Distance

11. The Physics Of Gridlock

12. End Credits

“Road Salt Two” is scheduled for a September 26th, 2011 release date in Europe and an October 11th, 2011 release date in North America via InsideOutMusic.

They also announced that they will be touring Europe with Opeth.

Nice! Danne resembles Jesus on the cover, pretty sure that it's intentional.

Strike that! I'm a TOTAL IDIOT!

Opeth and PoS are playing at the same venue!

Oh man, this will be EPIC!!!

Cover kinda makes me hurt like RS1 but we'll see how them music is.

RS1 sounded like it would be awesome, but I was pretty disappointed. I even liked BE and Scarsick! But maybe this one will be better.

Hope Road Salt II is a far shot better than 1, as I thought that 1 was the weakest release in their whole catalog.

Well, if that preview in the previous post is anything to go by, then we're in for a heavier album, I really like the sounds there.

Yeah...no. Call me back when they're done with this retro phase. It's so played out.

Looking forward to RS2.  It will be a pleasant surprise to many I believe.  I would like them to change directions yet again after this album though.

PROG ON!!!
