On July 13th Francois Cahen the great pianist who played in MAGMA and ZAO and many other projects passed away from a heart attack. Unfortunately i don't have an official link to this but i've read it on a couple of sites. Whan i first heard the news i must admit it hurt.I've been such a fan of ZAO and of course those pre- MDK MAGMA albums that he played on.He was a brilliant player and i will miss him.

Very sad news, indeed. Luckily, his musical legacy lives on in lots of younger zeuhl and avant-prog bands that have been releasing fantastic albums in the last decade.My condolences to his family and friends.

Definitely, the ZAO time was the most essential in his career: his work was more highlighted among the sax lines and terrific rhythm duo tha twent with him.
