I have just watched the White Stripes on TV live at Glastonbury. Is there a worse band on the planet? Can't sing, play or write songs. And every performance from the bands I've seen so far has been almost as dire. The only band I would enjoy is Oysterband and they're on a minor stage. Glastonbury in the 70s was awesome. Is it getting worse or am I just a grumpy old man? |

I don't think it's so much an age factor- I'm 17 and I find 90% of the bands at Glastonbury shockingly dire; it's full of over hyped, dull indie miserabilists or punk rip-off merchants. I have to say it's probably been one of the most boring experiences I've ever had watching the likes of Interpol, and the insultingly bad Roisin Murphy.... |
