how in a scale from 0/10 would you rate one of the most hated and distructive movies in the 90s it almost distroyd the superhero movie franchise for good, it certainly made a huge bump in Batmans suit. unil the later instalations

but what do you think it it as poor as you think or are ther tiny redeemingly postivie/good factors of this failed attempt of movie.

for me it is a good pop-corn flick, action and Alicia Silverstone Tongue, otther then that it is average to poor,

what your opinions

To be honest I don't remember what's so bad about it, but I don't particularly feel like seeing it again either. 4/10.

since it is a average film I gave it a 5, since that is an average number

it may have been meant as a spoof and/or homage to the '60s TV show, but instead it was just embarrassingly bad

I only saw it once as a kid so I don't remember, but I know it was pretty bad and filled with god awfully lame one liners and had random close ups of their crotches

Nothing matches the pure viewing pleasure created by the original movie:

3, at best, a real embarrassment to the Batman franchise. I'd stick to the comics if you want the real Batman.

I must admit the Chris Nolan has done a superb job with his movies, though.

It was bad, but if you revisit Batman Forever, you'll discover that IT was WORSE.

Except for Jim Carrey, who was brilliant in it.

The worst moment I think was when Bruce Wayne visits Nicole Kidman's home, and he see a copy of Time Magazine with a well lit, clear and up-close PHOTOGRAPH of Batman ON THE COVER. Because we all know that the dark knight has time to just waltz into the editorial and get his picture taken for the cover, and no one would even think it's strange.

That movie is amazing. I have it and still can't fully thank whoever created the anti-shark bat-spray....

On topic, Batman and Robin sucked too much. Only Michael Bay is worse than Joel Schumacher. 3/10. You know a movie is troubled when Schwarzennegger is the most believable actor of the entire cast....

I will point out the worst thing about that movie. The dialogues...take a look at this, what a way to spit on Batman...

Richard Grayson/Robin:
I want a car. Chicks dig the car.
Bruce Wayne/Batman:
This is why Superman works alone

Dr. Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy:
What are you, about a 50 big and tall?
Dr. Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze:
No, I always go a size smaller--makes me look slimmer

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000235/" rel="nofollow - Ivy : There's just something about an anatomically correct rubber suit that puts fire in a girl's lips.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : Why is it that all the beautiful ones are homicidal maniacs? Is it me?

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : And you are...?
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000224/" rel="nofollow - Batgirl : Batgirl.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : That's not very PC. What about Batwoman, or Batperson?
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000224/" rel="nofollow - Batgirl : Bruce, it's me, Barbara. I found the Batcave.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000563/" rel="nofollow - Robin : We gotta get those locks changed.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : She knows who we are.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000563/" rel="nofollow - Robin : I guess we'll just have to kill her.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : Yep, we'll kill her later, we've got work to do.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000235/" rel="nofollow - Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy : Come join me. My garden needs tending.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000563/" rel="nofollow - Robin : Where's the snowman?
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000224/" rel="nofollow - Batgirl : Maybe he melted.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : No, he's just hibernating.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/" rel="nofollow - Batman : You get the ice, I'll get the Ice-man.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : No matter what anyone tells you, Bane, it really is the size of your gun that counts.

The MasterBatmanCard scene is hilarious too. I didn't find that dialogues...

And now the million "freeze" or "ice" related quotes by the Governator during the movie. We get it Arnold...you are Mr. Freeze...

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0301546/" rel="nofollow - Cop #1 : Please show some mercy!
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Mercy? I'm afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Tonight, hell freezes over!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Ice to see you!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000235/" rel="nofollow - Poison Ivy : He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me...
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : NOT! Surprise, I am your new cell mate. And I'm here to make your life a living hell. Prepare for a bitter harvest. Winter has come at last.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : What killed the dinosaurs? The Ice Age!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : In this universe, there's only one absolute... everything freezes!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Cool party!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Can you be cold, Batman? You have eleven minutes to thaw a bird. What will you do? Chase the villain or save the boy? Your emotions make you weak. That's why this day is mine!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : If revenge is a dish best served cold, then put on your Sunday finest. It's time to feast!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Watch the numbers, Batman, for they are the harbingers of your doom. Can you feel it coming? The icy cold of space! Ahh! At 30,000 feet, your heart will *freeze* and be no more!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Allow me to break the ice. My name is Freeze. Learn it well. For it's the chilling sound of your doom.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : The Ice Man cometh!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Tonight's forecast... a freeze is coming!

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : [freezes Robin] Stay cool, Birdboy.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000216/" rel="nofollow - Mr. Freeze : Freeze in hell, Batman!

6/10! But generally I'm against to film movies about comic heros or characters.

YOu just named the best part of the movie.

I'd give it a 4iah overall though. Certainly my least favorite Batman film.

The irony of this poll is that I watched Batman and Batman Forever about a month ago, and then went out and bought a DVD that had all 4 movies from that era.  Last night I watched Batman Returns, and this weekend I plan on watching Batman and Robin.  I saw them all at the theater when they came out, but have not seen most of them since then.

Good Lord, that film was wretched.  It subscribed to every single cliche of superhero and action films, the dialogue consisted of nothing but stupid one-liners, and the plot depended entirely on every character being a complete idiot.  2 stars solely because the visuals were decent.

Oh, and they gave Batman a Bat-Credit Card.  A Bat-Credit CardA BAT-CREDIT CARD.  That makes the Bat-Shark Repellent look awesome, and that's just pathetic.

I gave it a 1/10.  Here's that rationalization behind that.  It couldn't have been much worse, but I didn't walk away from it with absolutely nothing.  There were some "so bad it's hilarious" moments as well as a good lesson in how to NOT use George Clooney.

No way!  Batman Forever isn't the best but it isn't nearly as horrid as this joke of a movie.  Batman Forever could be better, but Batman and Robin is amusing amounts of horrid.  Every one of Arnold's lines makes me absolutely lose it, George Clooney....just that, the horrible supposedly Robin character....so many things...When Robin gets frozen and Batman puts him in the water, heats it up with a laser, and then Robin is just fine.....EW

Clooney and Chris O'Donnell having a jolly romp, what's not to like?

Oh yeah, the end of Alicia Silverstone's career.

All those movies have too many villians.

The Nicholson, Ledger performances were great. Other than that the only great movie was the first Nolan one.

1 Star. Terrible movie , as was the previous Batman forever, except for Jim Carrey. Once Tim Burton left they turned into drivel.

I actually didn't like Batman Returns very much. Devito was ok, but it was such a letdown after Nicholson's performance.

The first Nolan Movie was good, but the second (The Dark Knight) was excellent! The best movie inspired by a comic book ever made.
