Not that I was there or claim any special knowledge but I came across this link and thought others might be interested:

I expected to see "Felicite Thosz" and "Sl*g Tanz" there.  I't;s an interesting list.  Not long ago I was pretty incessantly listening to Attahk so I like seeing "Dondai" and "Maahnt" there.  Like to hear the "Maahnt" version, and hope there was no holding back on the belching. Riah Sahiltaahk is great classic Magma.  Retrovisions hadn't been a fave of mine, but they've adapted it nicely before.

It's rather interesting that they avoided best known works (works from the time when many people think they were at their best from the biggest studio albums),

Interesting, so they quit doing E-Re. I still don't know if I'll be going.

It reminds me my "project" to review the two concerts of the Tritonales I attended (Panzerballet / Mörglgl ; Jean-Louis / Zarboth).

I understand that the point of these shows is to continue the Mythes et Legendes series that was captured on the 4 DVDs of the same name.  So they are basically playing the stuff that wasn't played in those shows.

That's what I understood.  But please understand - I have no special information here!  I just thought I read that somewhere.  Maybe somewhere on PA even!

Great setlist. Maahnt is my fave tune (after Spiritual) from the hit-and-miss Attahk album. I'm surprised they've resurrected it but it's cool they did.

But I really love Retrovision! I know I'm in the minority as far as Magma fans go, and the tune is probably not considered one of the classic Magma tunes. I can't really defend it, but I do love it. It sounds to me like (and this will sound ghastly to most) a mixture of high camp, Rocky Horror singalongs, and Manhattan Transfer being unknowingly dosed at a party and breaking into song on some other planet. Great stuff, but miles away from MDK or De Futura.

That is an unusual but pretty cool setlist.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Looks good! I still haven't quite made up my mind about Retrovision - there are passages where I'm all "f**k yeah, this is awesome" but then all of a sudden it goes all sub -Merci funk pop and my ears wince.

Still, will be nice for them to get the new compositions out in some form or other (though personally I'd much prefer a new studio album).

I don't listen to Magma much, its still hard for me to get into their style, I have a few albums because I believe in broad listening patterns. If they were playing live in Seattle....I would go for sure!!

^ They're amazing live. Best live band I know. My only issue was the cash... Didn't get any, so I can't go unfortunately.

^ I would probably rob a bank or something.....or maybe you should go mow some of your neighbors lawns or wash their cars.

Hopefully it is not too late to say this ... but seeing this is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities and it is highly recommended. When Magma is gone, or Christian is gone, or Stella is gone, this whole thing will stop and die ... because it is the vision of one person, and others can not see that vision.

Of all the music things I have ever seen, this is the one concert I remember mostly, and I helped start a standing ovation in San Francisco their first time here ... I was up before anyone else!

They can call it rio or rhuel or whatever ... but the there is only one original ... catch it once if you can ... because a lot of music will come off as really bland and unimportant after it!

-------------
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
