Now this is the kind of good band that need support. Good style. I like the song Magic Mirror.

The debut album 'Upwards' is now available at iTunes & cdbaby, or as a physical CD direct from the band: http://www.teodasia.com/teodasia/?page_id=32" rel="nofollow - http://www.teodasia.com/teodasia/?page_id=32 . For a 6 minute 42 second teaser of all tracks go to: http://www.teodasia.com/teodasia/?page_id=223" rel="nofollow - http://www.teodasia.com/teodasia/?page_id=223 . This is epic female fronted symphonic metal of the very highest calibre - not the sort of stuff that is readily accepted on progarchives.com, but a really superb example of this particular genre of music. Fans of Within Temptation, Epica, etc - go check this one out, and fill yer boots in style!!!

Here is what the band themselves wrote about the album on their album streaming page where the teaser is located (see above for the link):

"Modern society has pursued incredible technical progress to bring about new paths, new solutions and new organizations. “Upwards” comes from the understanding that, in this explosion of novelty, we are left without ways to identify which direction to go. The main message of our album is that, regardless of how chaotic everything might seem, the right direction is simply to “Go up, towards the Sun!”
“Upwards” is a concept album, an organic manner of taking a theme and examining it from a wealth of different perspectives and in a variety of contexts. The important point is that all these perspectives must concur to building a cohesive picture. The cohesiveness of a concept album comes with recommended readings and paths: In a sense, we would like to guide our listeners to exploring the theme, at several independent (but compatible) levels.
Our multi-sided handling of the theme is reflected in the way we write our lyrics. Lyrics are intentionally ambiguous in some points, so that we may support simultaneous readings and make them come together in images of particular strength. We tried to recruit imagery from as many sources as possible, to concur to strengthening these points of consonance by appealing to external cultural echoes and resonances.
In some songs, the daily-life aspect is more emphasized, in some songs we focus more on the bare emotional content and leave it to the listener’s sensibility to translate it into circumstances. As a rule of thumb, each song can be read as pertaining to life in the world (relationship with others), to life in the self (relationship with reactions and inner circumstances) or to the life of the soul (the religious relationship with God).
We feel that the lyrics are balanced because they do not force a single reading; in our experience, the dominant reading, the one that comes forth first, is the one that is closest to the set of beliefs of the listener. We think “Upwards” gives a good example of how several sensibilities can be composed without any of them being frustrated.
All the music in this album came practically at the same time; we wrote the lyrics trying to stick to the emotional content of the music itself. In a sense, we have tried to let the music write its own lyrics.

We hope you enjoy the fruits of our work.

Teodasia"
