Germfree Adolescents was one of the more intriguing artifacts of the punk era, largely due to the startling voice of Poly Styrene.

As I said in the Shred. Very sad. I remember buying "Oh Bondage Up Yours" quite clearly.

Very sad news. She was quite an unusal character and singer, and someone I remember very clearly from my childhood for that reason.

I remember asking my dad (when I was 9 years old) to buy me 'Germfree adolescence' when it was released, and he refused because it was 'too wierd' I had to convince my mum instead. She was a little more open minded than my dad, who saw the punk movement as the beginning of the end of western civilization....

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Wasn't a fan but sad news nevertheless, especially when someone so young goes.

First, Ari Up; then, Poly??? For f**k's sake, who's next??? I swear, if anything ever happens to Siouxsie Sioux, I... What could we do, anyway?...
I hate news like that.

Not one of my idols; but such a shame that she's gone so soon.
