I've just started listening to these two artists, and they sound like crossover potential on this website; I really like them both, but I think Lykke Li is more original-sounding. Warpaint seems to emulate Tool and Nirvana a little too extensively, especially lyrically. Still, I really like Warpaint and would love to see them perform live. Interesting factoid: the Warpaint bassist and drummer each stated in a recent interview that Yes was a musical influence. Nice to hear that old-school prog is still getting some love, especially from an all-girl band. |

Hmmm...I guess that very few here have actually listened to these artists. Perhaps I should stick to polls about Yes and Genesis from now on. Note: I just realized that this poll was in the wrong section  Sorry!! |
