The Tangent's live performances have recently been described as sounding "enormous", "energetic", "exciting" and "extraordinary". And those are just the accolades beginning with E. For the many people around the world who can't get to see the band, we present "Going Off On Two" a DVD plus CD of the band in performance in a studio environment in the fashion of the old 1970s TV studio performances of "The Old Grey Whistle Test", "Rock of the 70s" and the like. The session will be recorded in Great Image Studios Stockport on Dec 11 2010, pre-ordering will help pay for this expensive process.

The video and CD will be shot by a camera crew who have worked on projects from the BBCs "Blue Peter" through coverage of major rock concerts including the Kaiser Chiefs at Elland Road Stadium to national news programmes - and it will feature the 5 piece lineup of the band - Theo Travis will be there. Although there will be some duplication of material with "Going Off On ONE", the set is likely to include live versions of "Where are they Now", "Perdu Dans Paris", "Paroxetine" and "GPS", as well as a totally new song from the COMM album due for release in Autumn 2011.

Along with bonus footage from gigs in 2010, this is a perfect way to catch up with what The Tangent achieved this year, bringing the band back into the live music arena with one hell of a bang that many thought could not happen.

PRE-ORDERING starts NOW. As always, we are sorry to have to use these methods, but this is the only way we can make this happen. Each DVD will have a full colour 8 page booklet, the first 200 copies pre-ordered will be signed by all five members of the band. the price is 19.99 GBP delivered to anywhere in the world - WHEN IT IS FINISHED, we are working on February 2011 as a release period, but it may be March. We'll keep in touch.

In addition we have some SPECIAL collaborators packages available for people who want to go the extra mile. You want more than just our signatures, please follow the links on this page to see what you could get from us.

In the meantime, please get aboard this project, and remember that if we don't manage to make the DVD or anything goes wrong to prevent release, you will get your money back.

HOW DID I MISS THIS?!?!

Preordering now.

Edit: The site seems to be encoded in some kind of Flash that my connection doesn't want to coorperate with. Is there any way to preorder the DVD through a different website or something?

Nevermind, preordered. $33 shipped is a steal. Paid about the same for the previous DVD and it was more than worth it. I still have that one in regular rotation.
