I thought the OK Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac booklets were very cool.
Anyway, this is great news. I'm very curious to hear what the album sounds like.

The Ok Computer artwork is stunning. But perhaps the quality of the music distorts our judgement.

I like Radiohead's artwork from OK Computer on, but this cover looks strange indeed. Let's see how the music fits it.

I've been very loyal to Radiohead, buying every one of their albums, and also paying a standard price for the In Rainbows download.
However, I will think long and hard about this one. To be honest, I have found on every album since Kid A that, when I do play them (rarely now), I am only picking out about two or three tracks which I regard as excellent. The rest are, to these ears, very ordinary and almost throwaway.
We'll see.

I'm looking forward and thanks for the heads up.
Also, I like what they did with the artwork on previous albums. I thought In Rainbows was really good. The OK Computer and Kid A booklets were creative.

Curious as to what a "Newspaper Album" means. I assume (through the use of oxo-degradeable plastic) that it is today's news and tomorrow's fish'n'chip wrapper. Not sure I like the idea of coughing up £30 for something that will fall to pieces in 3 months (leaving nothing behind but water, carbon dioxide and biomass).

I just assumed it would be in a sleeve that was recycled or something like that, similar to Serj Tankian's solo album. But I may wait until I see picutres of it before ordering the full thing

I think the album artwork is interesting. Maybe they'll move even
beyond Kid A, and for sure In Rainbows, with experimentation. Any case I can't help but pre-order it

Looking forward to it, but definately not paying 60+ dollars including shipping for an album that won't be here for another while, and I wouldn't pay anything for a download.

Why not? When you finally RIP your CD to your library, are you not going to play it on a portable device......even more

I just downloaded the album and I just listened to it…I find
it to be quite great. I don’t exactly know where to place it amongst Radiohead’s
discography yet, and I almost feel like going through their discography again j.
Lotus Flower is a wonderful track, and I really like the opening track Bloom….it
seems as if Radiohead are fans of glitch music. Bottom line, this album was
very enjoyable and I liked it very much. If you are a fan of Radiohead then you
will enjoy this album.
A more in-depth and comprehensive review will come in the
future. I think I need to listen to this album (and their other albums) a few
more times to get a complete picture.

Not as accessible as In Rainbows was for me, might take a few listens to really get into. Sounds good so far though, lots of little sounds here and there to make me appreciate my speakers' quality

Well over three years and all they could come up with is an ep of blips and bleeps with no substantial songwriting? Perhaps it's time to call it a day ...

I've listened to it about 4 times, and I like it. Still though, it does feel rather incomplete. Reading the description of the "newspaper album" there does seem to be another half coming.
Two clear 10" vinyl records in a purpose-built record sleeve.
A compact disc.
Many large sheets of artwork, 625 tiny pieces of artwork and a
full-colour piece of oxo-degradeable plastic to hold it all together.
I guess we have to wait until May to find out what this means though. I can't imagine the CD is just the King of Limbs album because they charged separately for the download already.
And ordinarily, I wouldn't give much thought to it, but the band is Radiohead. The last track repeats these lines several times:
(Wake me up, wake me up)
If you think this is over
Then you're wrong.
In all likelihood, they're just lyrics, but I can't help but wonder if they foreshadow something on the way. Here's something pretty crazy about OK Computer and In Rainbows basically being one continuous album if you switch the track order: http://prostheticknowledge.tumblr.com/post/2301531933/radioheads-decade-spanning-secret-album-taken" rel="nofollow - http://prostheticknowledge.tumblr.com/post/2301531933/radioheads-decade-spanning-secret-album-taken
I guess we'll find out eventually, but I sure hope another surprise is on the way.

Unless each vinyl has 2 songs on each side then there definately should be more on the way. I tried that playlist with In rainbows and Ok Computer, it's a nice way to listen to them, but I still prefer each album seperately and don't really buy into the conspiracy-ish side of it

Because it shouldn't.
I will say though, I don't think it's their best stuff. Took me a few plays to really appreciate it, whereas In Rainbows instantly grabbed me.

This album is very good. It doesn't touch the holy trilogy of OK Computer, Kid A and In Rainbows, but it is still very good. While short by modern day standards, I have no problem with the 37-minute plus length. Sure, I hope there is more to come in the form of a bonus disc or something, but as is, I am pretty happy with this. Codex is one of the most beautiful things ever, and Separator, Give Up the Ghost and Little by Little have all been stuck in my head for days. One of the best bands of all-time does it again.
