PROGRESSIVE ROCK BASSIST sought for original symphonic progressive rock project; multikeys and drummer seeking the perfect combination of chops and ensemble playing. We're looking for someone who is MOTIVATED AND DEDICATE TO PLAYING PROGRESSIVE MUSIC; someone who can play in the background when necessary and tastefully manipulate the fretboard in the forefront when called upon to do so. The band is rehearsing material for a full length CD's worth of music with the possibility of test-driving this material in Europe. Vocals and or acoustic guitar as a second instrument would be a big plus. We're very serious and have talent, discipline equipment and contacts. Influences include ELP, UK, Renaissance, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Echolyn, Cairo and many more. We have a sound all our own. Rehearsals are 3 times a week and would be in Sussex County. Yes we have rehearsal space. If you believe music is still an art form and not just a way of making a quick buck, we want to hear from you! Must be a team player. No egos or time wasters please.

Our music is very much along the lines of classic 70s prog with more complex keyboard textures and a more modern approach to the drumming. The compositions are open ended and not at all conforming to conventional song formats, using theme and exposition, polyphony, counterpoint and other classical structures but also have sections that are agressive and offer a lot of room to move around for a bass player. The idea is basically for the music to paint an aural picture that represents the words. Get the picture?

If you're interested in this kind of situation call or email us and we'll take it from there
