The last time I had one was as a kid.  I'm 45 now so do the math if you want.  I haven't in had a toaster strudel in many years.  If I were to have one this morning, I'd probably heat it up.

Yeah, I haven't ever had one in my adult life.  The toaster oven and microwave are essential kitchen equipment for me though.

One of these days I'm going to stuff one with microwave pop corn kernels, lime slices and stick it in the microwave on high for a long time just to see what will happen.

I usually go with straight out of the package because I don't feel like toasting it, however it is slightly better in the toaster in my opinion.  If you want me to digress into specifics then it would depend on the flavor, what I was going for, where I was eating, many factors indeed...for example, if I'm doing nothing and watching TV upstairs and there are Cinnamon Roll Pop Tarts, I'm toasting that.  The Cinnamon Roll Pop Tarts are the most crucial ones to toast verse not toast, they just become so much more amazing when toasted.  Same goes for the Cookie Dough Pop Tarts, but every time you eat those you feel horrible afterwards.....I'm trying to stick with Strawberry, Cherry, and the occasional CInnamon Roll these days.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've had a toasted pop tart.  Out of the package for me, toasting takes up valuable time I could be using to eat the pop tart.

^ only if you microwave them - a standard Dualit toaster hasn't the umph to superheat the filling without carbonising the sugar frosting.

Now, McD's apple pies... that's a whole different matter - those things are made by the Alien Queen on a bad day...

According to Jim Gaffigan, the filling of a Hot Pocket can only exist in two states: frozen, and boiling lava hot.

The apple pie is about the best thing McDonalds do..

It's all relative of course. The entire menu is barely worthy of a stray dog, that hasn't eaten in days, is really depressed, and has really let itself go.

McD's apple pies used to be deep fried and they are baked now in most outlets because it's healthier (apparently), but some still deep fry them if they don't have an oven on the premises.
