You may have heard of copypasta, things people find on the internet and then copy or paste around on messageboards to show other people.

One variant of this is creepypasta, which is the same thing, except it's stories and images specifically intended to be scary or spooky.

I'm sure we have some fright fans here in the community who might delight in an opportunity to spook the others. For this reason I'm including the thread under "fun" because I don't think it really goes in General Discussion or anywhere else. However, to give the thread a point, I think that we have to allow for both silly submissions and serious ones and by serious ones I mean genuine attempts to frighten people with stories/images that may actually unsettle. So with that in mind, be aware that if you don't find frights fun, you're probably best not to read the thread. Anyway here I go, with an example of both a creepy campfire style story and an example of a creepy image.

Note: I imagine that with stories anything goes, but for images, in order to avoid abject tastelessness, I would go for things that are unsettling creepy rather than outright vile and gory. Art is probably also easier to take than actual photography as well.

Well, let's see what you got.

Mwahahahahaha....

First a little story.

A young couple were waiting impatiently to leave on their first vacation since the baby was born but the woman’s aunt, who would be babysitting, was thirty minutes late. The young woman called her elderly aunt to find out what was going on, and the old woman apologized for her forgetfulness, and said she’d speed right over.

Since the aunt was only a couple miles away, the couple decided they’d go ahead and go rather than wait for her and risk missing their flight. Two weeks later when the couple returned they were horrified to find the baby still in it’s high-chair where they’d left it, except now it was dead and bloated, covered with flies. The aunt really had sped, and unfortunately crashed and died before she made it over.

And now, let's appreciate fine art.

It might be better if you actually had some pasta in your pictures.

Not the creepiest thing ever, but I love this scene from Pan's Labyrinth.  Phenomenal film.
