Every few years, the members at http://musicgourmets.com/forum/index.php" rel="nofollow - Music Gourmets run a "Great Music" series of threads. Every week a new year is chosen and each member can nominate a single album as an outstanding selection for that year. It's a fun and interesting exercise and a great way to discover new music and introduce others to some of your favorites, too.
Starting on January 31st, we'll be kicking off http://musicgourmets.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8191" rel="nofollow - 56 Years of Great Music starting from 1955 going through 2010, one week at a time.
I'd like to invite any PA members who would be interested in participating. The Music Gourmets community is quite diverse but I could use some help covering more of the great prog selections, especially when we get to the 70s. Just imagine how my heart breaks when I can only choose a single album for one of those golden years.
