Hi.

Just to be able to improve ProgArchives and really pull of something special for both ourselves and upcoming generations of prog rock fans, here is a list of bands I would like to get hold of for interviews.

All bands not listed in this wish list or already interviewed are also interesting as long as they are listed in our data base. Lady Gaga; no thanx.

Here is my wishlist and it will be updated continous.

If any of you know these bands, contact details and/or is able to introduce me to them for email interviews; please let me know (PM me). I don't bite and the ongoing rabies treatment is actually working. I can be a bit forgetful though so please bear over with me.

Here we go:

Fruupp

Collegium Musicum

Magma

It's A Beautiful Day

Cos

Cathedral (of the Stained Glass Stories album)

Egg

Pavlov's Dog

Yezda Urfa

....... to be updated.

Thanx in advance,

the interview team and the interview editor

What about one of the most prolific drummers in the prog scene, Yoshida Tatsuya?

To my knowledge, Christian Vander and Stella do not do interviews, although they are very nice when you meet them in concert. I think they just value the quiet and the instrospection ... and that they have previously not had a good time with people saying nasty things in the press, not to mention a thread in this board ... that ... I would prefer it were removed as inapropriate. This is all I can find, but they are on the road too much to catch them sipping a cup of coffee.

I would go after David LaFlamme for the other one, but there was a different version of the band going around a year ago or so, and I am not sure what is going on with them ... there appear to have been some really nasty ownership battles here because some of this stuff is not getting released or updated.

Fruup and I can't say ... but I would ask if they felt they never got the chance to work a proper studio to help smooth out the edges in their music, or is it simply my ears? I really felt that some of their stuff was not rehearsed enough and had not been cleaned up, which likely would have been done with a studio. I think that this band is one of those that had the ability ... but never got the chance ... is how I look at it. I thought there was a website with their information, but need to check again.

Fruup.com ... but the website is sad and bad, and it's hard to navigate. This one will probably have to fall away in the cracks. Tried to see who owned the website, and it is owned by Godaddy, so the band, or its folks, do not have control over it I don't think.

Egg ... not sure that we can talk to Dave Stewart ... he's one of those people that will only stop working the day he is gone. But it would be nice to hear about him talk about his experimental side instead of anything else.

Not that you need another ... list ... but there is a mailing list that you can sign up for below, and it might be a good place to start.

Hope this helps ...

I am trying, btw, to get a couple of interviews done ... but will keep these quiet for now ... they are ... unusual and different and I am more likely to want to have a cup of tea and share good fun and jokes and literature and what not, than I am asking questions that sometimes bore some of these folks ... I have not made the decision of sharing them with the PA yet, though I will with some individuals.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
