Jody has decided to step down from the Admin team for personal reasons.
As many of you will know, Jody has been a wonderful contributor to the site for many years, both as a Moderator/Admin and as leader of the Prog metal team.
We owe Jody a real debt of gratitude for all he has done for the site over the years, and wish him well for the future.
Jody will still be around on the site, and will take up a well deserved "Retired Moderator" status as a Special Collaborator.

I know Jody hasn't been around much this year, or maybe a bit before. But not many others put as much work into the site as you.

Always will remember Jody, he was one of the first to greet me when I came onto this site with a nice welcome, and recommended "I" by Meshuggah to me.
Not sure if I should thank him for that one
Thanks for the work Jody!

As a person who frequently clashed with admins, you've done a great job here Jody. Always been a pleasure discussing music with you.
Hope things are well. Merry Christmas.

I did write a long message of thanks about Jody. An error occurred though. So I shall try again.
Thanks Jody for some fantastic memories. You are an excellent Administrator and good friend as well. I still remember fondly the times you spend in The Velvet Room, where you were everyone's friend, yet you still moderated us accordingly. Sometimes I feel we still need you around to keep us all in line in its modern incarnation.
You have also recommended me some wonderful Prog over the years. Thank you for that as well.
I do hope you keep to your promise and still visit here on occasions. You are most definitely and asset to this site and forum.
So long and thanks for all the Prog.

Nobody will ever fully appreciate just how much work Jody put into this site. Just being an Admin and Mod is a full-time job in itself but running a busy genre like Prog-Metal for so long as well is a Herculean effort that will never be forgotten. Thanks pal!

I was just in the mood for them today so I busted out The Essential Hall & Oates.
I am a man of many varied and eclectic musical tastes.
I listened to The Dream Academy and Dexy's Midnight Runners the other day, wanna give me a hard time about that too?

Damn, too late.
Now we know the real reason for you stepping down - to prevent Hall&OatesGate here at PA.

On a huge kick with them for the past few months.I dismissed the first two albums as derivative back in the day and ignored their later output. Then my daughter got into them and I started listening to Neon Ballroom,Diorama and Young Modern quite a bit. With every album they matured, progressed and changed. With their newest album Daniel Johns really impressed me with his expanded vocal range, songwriting and stunning string and horn arrangements.Totally different from their early days.

just saw this today...
Hey Jody, can't say we agree much on anything (musical or life issues), but it may come as a surprise to you.... but I kind of learned to dig you...
Stay around, uh!!!!!!
EDIT: I suppose that's my way of saying thanks for the ungratifying job, one I never wanted to do....
