After the sold-out performances/screenings in Liverpool & Preston; The Laze bring their live & original soundtrack for The Phantom of the Opera (1925) back to Preston's The Continental 30/12/10
The Laze will perform the score live beneath the 14ft High Definition screen.

TBH Films presents THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Starring the “Man of a Thousand Faces” Lon Chaney, it is a gripping tale of aspiration, obsession and devilish insanity; and this gothic romance still has the power to inspire terror in audiences 85 years on.

The Parisian Opera House is a beautiful building that stages extravagant musical performances, but beneath this resplendent façade lies an ancient torture chamber surrounded by sepulchral catacombs. And in this hellish cellar lives a disfigured and demented musician and asylum escapee, Erik.

His love for Christine, a young fame hungry opera starlet, drives Erik up from the depths and so unfolds a gothic adventure unmatched for nearly a century.

Running time: 80 minutes approx.

“The Laze sound larger than the sky above and everything that lies under, imagine the Mahavishnu Orchestra after reading the Necronomicon.” 20 Jazz Funk Greats

“The missing link that glues together the classic English prog of long past days and the forward looking musical adventure of now.” Organ Magazine
