The Fused Festival is thrilled to announce that legendary German Progressive Metallers Vanden Plas will headline Friday 1st April evening session. Signed to Frontiers records, the band has recently released their sixth full length album, the brilliant “Seraphic Clockwork”.

Festival organiser Huw Lloyd-Jones says: “I’ve been a fan of the band since the 90s, and it’s a genuine thrill to be able to bring them to the UK for a rare British performance.” http://www.vandenplas.de/ - www.vandenplas.de

We are also excited to announce 3 other additions to the line up:

Day Six are a Dutch prog metal band very much on the rise, having just released their latest album, “the Grand Design” on Lion Records. Once again, this is a very rare UK outing for this amazing band. http://www.myspace.com/daysixweb - www.myspace.com/daysixweb

Formerly called Andonova, After-Math hail from Gloucestershire and have recently changed their name to reflect the more metallic direction in their music. More information and web contacts about this rising band soon!

The Fused Festival, promoted by the Classic Rock Society and the Summers End Festival, which takes place at Lydney Town Hall, Gloucestershire on April 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2011, is delighted to complete the festival line up with a trio of superb female fronted bands

We are thrilled to announce that our Sunday headliner will be Dutch band Kingfisher Sky.  Following their rapturously received debut Hallway of Dreams, which combined metal with prog and folk, the band released their second album Skin of the Earth, which charted in Holland, in September 2010.  In Judith Rijnveld, they have one of the best singers in contemporary metal.

We are also excited to welcome the dark, orchestral, metal of Birmingham based Hanging Doll to the festival, currently recording the follow-up to their 2008 debut album, “Reason and Madness”. Their extensive gigging experience includes an appearance at Bloodstock Open Air

“If Evanescence were a real band they would sound like Hanging Doll” – Metal Hammer.

The line up is completed by Italian prog metal band Loreweaver, fronted by the extraordinarily talented Barbara Rubin. The band’s debut album, Imperviae Auditiones, has already received excellent reviews from Fireworks, The Classic Rock Society and Powerplay magazines.
