As a kid, I always enjoyed the shenanigans of a good round of Mad-libs. It occurred to me this might be a fun little diversion with some classic old prog lyrics. I have thought of a song and replaced certain words within the song with blanks that (hopefully) you forum members will supply. Here are the 3 simple rules of the game: A. Only one blank filled per post B. Fill in the blanks in order. If the previous poster answered number 5, then you answer number 6 C. You may answer more than once, but allow at least one member to answer before giving your next answer I will reveal the new fangled lyric when I get home from work tomorrow night (appx. 8 pm PST), assuming all blanks have been filled. And don't ask me what the song is...that's the fun.  If its fun, then a new member can create a new game with their favorite lyric. Here are your blanks to fill. 1. Noun 2. Noun 3. Adjective 4. Verb ending in -ing 5. A Place 6. Noun 7. Verb 8. Verb ending in -ing 9. Verb ending in -ing 10. A Color 11. Adjective 12. Verb 13. Plural Noun 14. Name A Philosopher (last name only) 15. Name A Politician (last name only) 16. Name a Musician (not a band) appearing on ProgArchives 17. Nickname of a ProgArchives member. 18. Past tense verb 19. Plural Noun 20. A place 21. Verb ending in –ing 22. Adjective 23. Plural Noun 24. Name A Cartoon Character 25. Name A Greek God 26. Salty John has given me a noun, fish. That fills slot 1. Now someone else needs to post another noun for slot 2. After slot 2 is filled, anybody (Salty John will then be eligible to take another turn) picks a verb for slot 3. Then slot 4 with a verb ending in -ing... and so on. The word you pick to fill a slot needs not be related to the previous word. When all slots have a word, I reveal the secret lyric for which the players have picked the new words. Its usually hilarious because nobody has a clue what they are picking the word for. Ok, this was a learning experience. I suspect I should go for shorter passages for quicker payoff. I also should have been a little more specific on some selections.
