Years ago , I saw an excellent animated version of Zappa's "Night School" (Jazz From Hell), possibly done by Bruce Bickford. Does anyone know what, if any , video compilation this appears on? Thanks................Also, is there a commercial video available of Mike Oldfield performing "Tubular Bells" on British TV from the '70s with Fred Frith, Steve Hillage, Mick Taylor, etc...???????????

I'm not sure but I thionk I saw one. I don't remember when or where but I believe there is such of a video. |

I think the Night School video was on the "Video From Hell" VHS tape.

Hi,
You really should get the "Exposed" DVD ... and Pierre Moerlin is the start in it as far as I am concerned. Not to say that Mike, Pekka, Maddy ... and many others don't deserve the credit ... but Pierre is dah man! in there and then some.
I have a couple of those old Zappa videos but have to double check what they are and see if I can get them converted. I still wish a DVD of The Amazing Mr. Bickford would be made available. It's a wonderful study of Bruces' animation and F.Z.s' orchestral collaboration. |
