Just get a copy of the latest Record Collector book. It will give you prices for most albums.

is it a better idea to try and sell the early rock stuff as a collection or individually on ebay?

You will definitely get far more selling individually, but must weigh that against the hassle of eBaying them.

thank for the help, i see what you mean ebay is a massive hassle. i was thinking of putting a reserve of 7-10 against the lps. would this be a resonable estimate?

Free, Tons Of Sobs .....what's on the cover? Free Story....very rare! The cd Koss by Paul Kossoff from Free goes for about $175.00 on Amazon. But Free Story? That's rare. Paul Kossoff Back Street Crawler I would hang on to and search out sources. The Genesis Happy the Man for sure. Warner Brothers Music Show is from that string of compilation Warner Bros. releases which were advertised on the inner sleeve of all Warner Bros albums. They are for collectors and run a pretty penny on Amazon. They used to cost 2 dollars a piece through the mail order address on the innersleeves. Explain the cover of Relics. Is it the domestic album cover on Harvest? The face? Which I don't know how rare that is, or is it the painting of a city on a British import? which if it is, ............is very rare!

Hi, I'm a record collector and I used to do a lot of trading with pro dealers.
First of all, condition is everything, if these records have any wear or damage, only the rarest ones are worth anything.
Record value is usually determined by how rare it is and how desirable it is. A lot of those records you list, such as Wakeman, Joni Mitchell, Wonder, Eagles, Boz Scaggs etc are worth very little if anything, they are way too common.
The prices in record collector books are usually inflated and are based on near mint condition. Near mint means it is practically brand new. Mint means you didn't even breath on it.
You can get a gauge on current record prices by going in the completed items list on ebay.
If you sell worn records on ebay as near mint you will get a bad rating and no one will buy from you.
Are there any good honest record dealers in your area, a good dealer will give you about 35 per cent of what he can get for it. Its a good way to go and much less hassle than ebay.
Some of the records you listed were not familiar to me, those are the ones that are usually worth money.
Once again though, let me reiterate, common records that show wear are worth about 25 cents each at a garage sale.

The starline version is most likely worth a lot. I used to have a French import cd of Relics which displayed a cover with coins. Supposedly that was worth a fortune but, the LP on the Starline label is a very rare find.

well tonight I will be putting around 12 lps on ebay, (am i ok to put a link to my ebay page on here?) i think we are going to keep a steady stream of lps maybe 10 a week with 5 quid reserves on the nice condition older rock ones. the list above is only half of what we have so we need the space.

About the listing of Nursery Cryme.
I'd strongly suggest more detailed information about condition and use of standard terms in the description, see these instructions. http://reviews.ebay.com/A-guide-to-Vinyl-Record-Grades_W0QQugidZ10000000000068836 - http://reviews.ebay.com/A-guide-to-Vinyl-Record-Grades_W0QQugidZ10000000000068836 .
Also submit a detailed photograph of the label and the record. If the label looks like this, you're lucky.
Also inform of the matrix numbers which you find at the run-out groove area of each side. < ="-" ="text/; =utf-8">< ="-" ="text/; =utf-8">
