I decided to create this poll before the first game ended so that we have enough time for people to sign up, and then we can start this hopefully as soon as Prog Mafia is over. Mafia It’s Mafia like you’ve never seen it before: Avant-Garde style. Take everything you knew about Mafia and throw it out the window, but before you do, make sure you shred on a saxophone for 30 minutes first. There are no civvies. There are no baddies. There are no independent players. There are only recruiters and the unrecruited. The game begins with a large pool of unrecruited players who have no role and recruiters representing different teams. Each team battles for dominance as they try to prove that they are the masters of the art of Avant-Garde by recruiting players and knocking out their opponents. The roles are Avant-Garde. The rules are Avant-Garde. Your sanity will be tested. Features appearances by Captain Beefheart, Mike Patton, Fred Frith, and others. Specific role information is not to be disclosed at this time.

Go ahead and give it a try if you want; if you absolutely don't have the time at all, then I can always get a replacement. As long as you're online on a regular basis, it should be fine; and if you're gone for a certain period of time (a day, two days, whatever), then you can state that in the thread. It's up to you though. Would be awesome to have you playing. Oh, and as Matt said, you would probably be good at it.  -------------

Did you go to the thread I linked in the first post? It highlights the basics of how Mafia works. This game will be practically that, except throwing all convention out the window. Don't worry though, it's one of those games where you learn the most just by playing. It'd be awesome to have you on board. You can also refer to the game that just finished, Prog Mafia. -------------

Glad to have you and Bea playing once again.  Yeah, as long as you're not a newbie, you can vote. It hardly takes any posts to get past the status of newbie. The poll is sort of useless now that we have that rule though, and it never really served much purpose before then anyway because I'm just keeping track of everything in the first post. I suppose I could have posted the thread without a poll. -------------

I enjoyed the heck out of recruitment on The Piano~ I know you did too, MP. I especially enjoyed my rezz where I got to take down Tranq, Typhoony & attempt to take down a certain Sockface If this is as much fun (and with the Prog background it surely will be) it'll be epic~ ------------- |

Haha, yeah, I loved that game! My favorite Mafia game ever, for sure. It would have been even better if I pulled off the win, but I was satisfied. I actually had the idea for a Mafia like this before I played Recruitment, so when I saw that I naturally thought it'd be a good game to sign up for. LC and BR are great hosts, that was fun. This one's going to be quite different though; I guess the only similarity is the recruiting part of it. I'm taking a gamble with it, but I have put a lot of thought into everything, so I think it'll be an awesome experiment. -------------

Hey, thanks to the 3 of you for signing up! I'll keep the signups open still for a while, and we'll see how many more players we get. Still hoping for a minimum of 4 more. Regardless of the ending amount of players, the game will likely start around the same time, which will be either Monday, Tuesday, or perhaps Wednesday.
