Take a Pebble (ELP), The Cinema Show (Genesis), And You And I (Yes), and Vert (Harmonium) are all great songs in the morning. Unless I have to get up and go to work! Then I need something more aggressive.

Really anything, depending on what mood I'm in. Woke up early today for no particular reason, so I laid in bed and listened to Changes by Catapilla and Breathless by Camel.
Bit of a weird combination, in retrospect.

Narnia. Fresh as the morning breeze. Of course, it's more like a pop/rock song by a prog artist. Maybe Dance on a volcano for a pure prog selection.

My favorite "prog morning" was when I was in DC staying with Raff and Micky - when we were all awake, we put on Univers Zéro's live album Relaps.

You sir have posted what has for me to be the ultimate morning song. I heard it first as a child, had it in my head, and for years I didn't know who did it until a college professor played it for the class.

Excellent choice!
"Good morning" tunes for me have varied throughout the years, but have included "It Will Be a Good Day (The River)" and "Going for the One" by Yes, "Paradox" by Kansas (Live at the Whiskey version), and all of Minstrel in the Gallery by Jethro Tull.
