While 'Just for fun' gets my vote, I also  like to see how I fare against the masses at PA.

Thank you for supporting independently produced music

It depends entirely on the poll... sometimes I use them for recommendations, sometimes they're just for fun, and sometimes I'm curious how my opinion compares to others. So no vote from me.

I answer polls because its fun and I have nothing better to contribute. I make polls to collect highly scientific data about the masses here at PA.

When I vote: because it's a good way to make people know what I think.
When I create a poll myself: because I want to know what other people think (and to give my own vote).

Therefore I voted for option #2.

Hah.  My girlfriend sat me down the other day and said, "So, you've been spending a LOT of time on this progressive rock website lately.  It's kind of upsetting me."

I told her I'd cut back.  But it's so liberating to find such a rich community here...

If you aren't voting or making polls just for fun you might want to consult with a brain specialist....

I do it for fun, part of which is seeing the various responses and discussions. I really enjoy seeing the wide variety of opinions that these polls generate and the conversations that ensue.

Not another Poll! It's good when everything have been said or that it doesn't worth to talk too much about something, or at the same time it could be a good intro to create some big philosophical questions about progressive music.
