Who's advertising what? As far as I know, the ads are provided by external services, that use random keywords from the pages you serve, plus your physical location derived from your IP-address to determine what to display. I don't believe the site chooses the ads you see. The advertisers reps do it. I think.

Sure, that package exists, but the adds on the forum still come from addtechu.com, and I doubt that Dutch we-fashion.com on the main page has paid M@X to bug me about womens clothing (which I don't wear, just as the original poster doesn't listen to SoD ). Either way, the reason it's done is that it pays for the site.
